I had been trying to identify what started drawing me to silver. While I can’t say it was the etymology of sterling silver, it doesn’t hurt that it can roughly be traced back to ‘little star.’ After learning that, I conveniently decided I don’t need to identify why something speaks to me; the fact that it speaks to me is enough.
